For Think 3Fold, the time and effort required to manually dispute deductions wasn’t paying off—literally

Think 3Fold came to SupplyPike in January 2021 with more than 1,000 deductions from Walmart that accounted for a substantial portion of the company’s invoiced totals. Making matters worse, attempting to dispute these deductions by hand via Direct Commerce was time consuming and labor intensive.

“We were spending a lot of money to pay people to do, for lack of a better term, day-to-day busywork to make sure we were going through the process appropriately and attaching the documentation,” said Think 3Fold Co-Founder Paul Featherstone. “It was costing us a substantial amount of money and labor.”

Think 3Fold would manually download invoices and claims from APIS in Retail Link, request documents from its 3PLs, and submit each dispute, one by one, into the DCI portal. Much to their frustration, the company’s efforts yielded a crushing 90.73% dispute cancellation rate and an equally disappointing dispute approval rate of 2.71%. Something had to change.

“We were in such a terrible place,” lamented Featherstone. “We were on the ropes of survival.”

Solution

Think 3Fold went from surviving problems to solving them

By partnering with SupplyPike, Think 3Fold gained immediate access to purchase orders, invoices, claims documents, and shipping documents, as well as 1-click disputing—all in one spot.

“We now have a simple place to go and find everything in one place—how it’s progressing, what’s in dispute again, what’s been approved,” remarked Featherstone. “[SupplyPike’s platform] is far more than just a navigator for us. It’s helping us solve things.”
